Financial Planning Administrator
Harold Stephens is an established IFA firm helping retiree clients predominantly local to our office on the High Street in Westbury on Trym. Our entrepreneurial Director, Richard Higgs is a Chartered Financial Planner with over 20 years’ experience, and he is currently seeking to take on a full-time financial planning administrator due to our substantial, sustained growth and progression of current employees.
The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with 1 -2 years’ experience in financial services administration, preferably in an IFA setting. The role would suit someone who is not averse to working in a small team, and who shares our same values and beliefs with family and community at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for someone with impeccable verbal and written communication skills with a great telephone manner. The ability to organise and plan efficiently are a must as is a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively to deadlines and prioritise your workload.
Key responsibilities:
· Maintenance of all client records
· Preparing client files for meetings
· Managing letters of authority requests and processing
· Act as client’s contact to providers
· Ensure money laundering checks are carried out
· Process application forms and client cheques
· Keep client informed of progress and send any documentation required efficiently.
· Carry out monthly policy valuation updates on client database.
· Produce accurate valuation reports
· Be the first point of contact for administration related queries for clients
Experience/Key skills
Essential:
· Evidence of commitment to previous employers.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to communicate with colleagues and clients at all levels.
· Self-motivated, with an ability to work and think under own initiative.
· Understanding of financial planning process.
· Ability to work within agreed business processes.
· Attention to detail and accuracy.
· Able to work methodically, accurately and neatly.
· Good IT skills.
· Ability to work to agreed outcomes without supervision.
· Able to work as part of a team.
· Previous experience of working in IFA company
Desirable:
· Experience using Intelliflo database.
Qualifications
Desirable:
· Working towards Level 4 – Diploma in Financial Planning/Regulated Financial Planning
· CF1 certificate
