Harold Stephens is an established local IFA firm helping local retiree clients. We are based the High Street in Westbury on Trym, and we are experiencing fantastic growth. Our entrepreneurial Director, Richard Higgs is a Chartered Financial Planner with over 20 years’ experience, and he is currently seeking to take on a full-time financial adviser to work alongside him in servicing his ever-growing client bank.
The ideal candidate will be Level 4 qualified with 1 -2 years’ experience minimum experience as a Financial Adviser within a similar size IFA firm. As specialists in later life planning, we are looking for an adviser with a skill set and eventually qualifications required to provide the levels of service our clients expect.
You would be joining a small team, so the role would suit someone who is not averse to working in a small group, and who shares our same values and beliefs with family and community always being at the heart of everything we do.
Experience
Essential:
Evidence of commitment to previous employers
Previous experience of working in IFA company
Detailed knowledge of Investments, tax planning and Defined Contribution pensions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to communicate with colleagues and clients at all levels.
Self-motivated, with an ability to work and think under own initiative.
Desirable:
· Knowledge and understanding of cash-flow modelling
· Experience using Intelliflo database
Qualifications
Essential:
Level 4 qualified - Diploma in Financial Planning/Regulated Financial Planning
Desirable:
Working towards Chartered status
LTC qualification
Additional later life qualifications
